Active Kids
Active Kids is a physical activity program that runs before school at Brown. Active Kids prepares children for a day of learning and is an important step in helping children gain an appreciation of the benefits of exercise and healthy choices that will last a lifetime. Active Kids was inspired by Dr. John Ratey’s book “Spark”. Dr. Ratey, of Harvard Medical School, states that “exercise is the single most powerful tool that we have to optimize the function of our brains.” Classes are filled with team-oriented games and provide plenty of opportunity for play, since the program focuses on fun!

The Active Kids program concludes in time to allow students to participate in breakfast and transition into the classroom.
How do I sign up?
Registration for the program will be announced in the Brown School bi-weekly newsletter. When registration opens, complete the registration form for each child and make sure to sign the last page. Approximately 20 children may participate in the session and the participants will be chosen based on a first come, first served basis. Payment is due at the time of registration and checks are made payable to Natick Public Schools.
Is there transportation for Active Kids?
Parents will be responsible for transporting their children to school. Children who attend a before school program are eligible to enroll and participate.
